GC Corporation to build new factory in Kawasaki, Japan
After taking over all common shares of Showa Yakuhin Kako Co., Ltd., a major manufacturer and distributor of dental drugs, GC Corporation has been working on to ensure future growth. To further expand our dental medical product business, a new manufacturing plant will be established with Yakuhin Kako in Kawasaki city, in the Japanese Kanagawa prefecture. The activities in the three-story building (with total floor surface of 5,358 m²) will focus mainly on dental drugs and medicines, including sterile products.
The global planning is to start the construction in January 2018, aiming for its completion in May 2019. Design and construction will be in the hands of Chiyoda TechnoAce Co., Ltd., a company with a long history and proven experience in medical product manufacturing plant construction.
The site will be developed with the Communication Loop-building concept in mind, a global approach that is locally implemented in all GC’s entities. This concept promotes improvement, information sharing and flexibility in the office area, while the manufacturing area is set up adhering to strict requirements regarding quality, compliant with various domestic and overseas laws and regulations.
GC has determined to make all efforts to achieve our goal, Vision 2021 “Challenge to become the No.1 dental company in the world through making further contribution to the healthy long-living society”, while pursuing further growth in each business by way of synergy effect of group companies.
